Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years related professional experience.
• State and local tax knowledge or experience preferred.
• CPA or CIA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine taxpayer records for compliance under direction of supervisor and management.
• Meet with taxpayers to discuss exam procedures and answer questions.
• Prepare papers supporting all adjustments and compute assessments.
• Review findings with taxpayer to illustrate how tax laws apply to their operations.
• Travel as required.
