Candidates should be Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors enrolled in a relevant program, and must be prepared to work 40 to 50 hours per week during the internship period.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 40 hours a week, ideally without asynchronous classes.
• Willingness to work up to 50 hours a week early March through April 15th.
• Completion of Tax curriculum prior to internship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop foundational understanding of trial balances and general ledgers.
• Prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules for tax bases.
• Input and adjust client trial balances within tax software.
• Manage engagement time effectively, including budget awareness.
• Prepare individual and business tax returns for review.
• Practice skills for federal and state tax returns.
• Multitask and manage deadlines in a public accounting environment.
