Job summary

CLA Eau Claire is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to gain hands-on experience in preparing tax returns, performing audit and assurance work, and supporting client engagements.

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred; CPA exam eligibility is noted. Proficiency with MS Office and reliable transportation are expected; some travel to client sites may be required. This internship offers exposure to diverse clients and real-world accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Working towards bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
