Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in Austin and San Antonio is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to begin in January 2028 and run through April 2028.

You will prepare assorted tax returns, assist with audits and assurance services, and gain hands-on experience with CLA’s procedures, workpapers, and client engagements.

This internship offers exposure to accounting principles, training opportunities, and a pathway toward CPA readiness while supporting collaboration across CLA professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Credit requirements to sit for CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and trainings.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates with clients and CLA family members regularly.
