Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for our Denver and Salt Lake City locations with a start in January 2027 and end in April 2027. Responsibilities include preparing tax returns, performing assurance services, and supporting multiple client engagements while learning procedures and systems.

The role requires progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA exam eligibility, and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree; Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
