Job summary

CLA in Wisconsin is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for Marshfield, Stevens Point, and Wausau locations. The internship runs from January 2028 to April 2028, offering exposure to tax preparation, audit, and assurance services with ongoing training and client involvement.

Interns will work on various engagements, gain knowledge of procedures and systems, and collaborate with CLA professionals across the firm. A bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and CPA eligibility are preferred, with travel to client

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Accounting/Finance preferred).
• Credit requirements to sit for the CPA exam per state rules.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and travel to client sites.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members regularly.
