Job summary

CLA Nashville is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to gain hands-on experience in tax return preparation and assurance services. The role supports client engagements, working with professionals across tax and audit teams, with an emphasis on learning processes and industry knowledge.

Anticipated start date is January 2028 and end date April 2028. The program emphasizes training opportunities, collaboration, and a culture that values diversity, accountability, and professional growth at CLA.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA eligibility per state requirements.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
