Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in Canton, OH is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for an anticipated January 2028 start. Positions in Akron and Canton offer hands-on experience in preparing tax returns and performing various audit and assurance services while you gain exposure to clients and CLA processes.

Interns will develop skills in accounting principles, tax and audit procedures, and use MS Office tools, with opportunities for training and mentorship within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with CPA exam eligibility requirements in view.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
