Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for several Wisconsin office locations, including Appleton, Green Bay, Oshkosh, and Sheboygan. The anticipated start date is January 2028 and the internship runs through April 2028.

The role provides exposure to tax returns, client engagements, and formal training opportunities. Interns will work under guidance to learn procedures, workpapers, and systems while developing accounting knowledge and CPA readiness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Accounting/Finance degree strongly preferred.
• Candidates working toward CPA eligibility per state requirements.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to client environments.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Windows) applications.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
