Job summary

Jobtailor in Livingston, NJ is seeking a Tax and Assurance Associate to prepare tax returns for individuals and entities and to participate in audit and assurance engagements for a variety of clients.

You will gain experience with procedures, workpapers, and client engagements, and you will communicate progress to clients and the team while supporting multiple engagements on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel to client sites

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
• Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services
• Gain experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems
• Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget
• Identify issues and communicate progress
• Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training
• Complete research and special projects as needed
• Communicate regularly with clients and CLA family members
