Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Associate to join a prestigious NY-based full-service firm. You will provide expert tax advice on a wide range of matters, including gift tax, tax-exempt organizations, partnership taxation, and estate tax, and represent clients before tax authorities. The role requires a JD, bar admission, and at least 1 year of tax experience; a CPA or LL.M.

Qualifications

• JD required and bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a tax attorney.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax advice on a wide range of matters including gift tax, tax-exempt organizations, partnership taxation, and estate tax.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and courts, defending rights and interests.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Research and interpret tax laws, rulings, and regulations for compliance and to minimize liabilities.
• Collaborate with attorneys and professionals to develop effective tax strategies.
• Negotiate tax dispute settlements and handle tax litigation.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to advise clients.
• Conduct educational workshops and seminars on tax topics.
