Job description

A top 50AM global law firm are looking to onboard an Associate into their Tax practice group. The position is open to their Los Angeles office.

The team works on matters from multinational enterprises to closely held companies, including 62 of the Fortune 100. They work on a broad array of tax matters including acquisitions & restructuring, criminal tax defense, federal tax controversy, federal taxation, non-US tax controversy, state & local tax, structured finance, derivates & financial products, tax controversies, tax structuring, tax-exempt organisations, and transfer pricing.

The Role Requires:

• A minimum of three years’ relevant law firm experience.
• Experience in transactional tax experience within a law firm mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and partnership experience.
• Experience with family offices, high net worth clients and oil & gas matters.
• Knowledge of working on matters at state, federal and international level.
• Proven willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload, within a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage projects and exhibit strong attention to detail.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills, along with a strong academic background.
• Admitted to the jurisdiction to which you are applying for.
