Responsibilities

Tax associates will assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state(s) business, individual, and other related tax forms. There will be opportunities for tax planning and research projects throughout the year.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
• Assist with tax planning and projections requested by clients.
• Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
• Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities.
• Answer calls and emails from clients in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required - accounting
• At least 2-3 full busy seasons worked in the tax profession – preparing individual and business tax returns.

• Experience with Thomson Reuters suite preferred
