Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Tax Associate in the United States to conduct tax consulting and prepare various tax returns and digital work papers. You will work with corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits across industries, collaborating with seniors, managers, and partners on engagements.

The role involves reviewing data inputs, researching issues, addressing IRS inquiries, and contributing to training junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Juris Doctorate, or Tax LLM.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• CPA licensure or licensed attorney status required.
• Strong analytical, communication & interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated project management and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review data input and resolve technical tax issues.
• Respond to IRS inquiries and other taxing authorities.
• Research and assess tax issues; inform senior staff.
• Provide on-the-job training to junior staff.
• Build rapport with client teams and manage relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.
