Sensiba LLP in Bend, OR is seeking a Tax Associate for Fall 2027 to support tax compliance and advisory work across diverse clients. You will prepare returns, assist with research, and build organized workpapers under supervision.

Qualifications

• Current or completed enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Master’s in Taxation or Accountancy is preferred.
• Expected degree completion between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S-corps, and trusts under supervision.
• Assist in preparing tax extensions, estimated tax payments, and amended returns.
• Perform basic tax research using firm tools and summarize findings.
• Compile and analyze client financial information to develop tax workpapers.
• Maintain workpaper documentation aligned with firm standards.
• Identify missing information and communicate follow-ups to clients or teams.
• Communicate with clients to request documentation and clarify requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and take notes for follow-up tasks.
• Engage in formal training, self-study, and continuing education.
• Take steps toward CPA licensure by staying on track with exam prep.
