LHH is representing a nationally recognized Dallas tax boutique recruiting a Tax Associate Attorney for its Income Tax and Business Planning practice. You will handle sophisticated federal income tax work, including M&A tax issues, with direct mentorship and a lean team.
Expect 3–5 years of tax experience, Texas Bar admission, and a Tax LL.M. is welcomed and valued. The role offers strong compensation, a guaranteed bonus, and substantial upside with a flexible hybrid work model.
A smaller firm does not have to mean smaller work, smaller compensation, or a slower path forward.
I’m working directly with a nationally recognized Dallas tax boutique seeking a Tax Associate Attorney to join its Income Tax and Business Planning practice.
The firm has fewer than 50 attorneys, a Tier 1 Dallas tax practice, and compensation that competes with significantly larger platforms.
Even better: a Tax LL.M. earns one full year of credit toward the firm’s partnership track.
This is an intentionally lean group. The incoming associate will work directly with two Board Certified tax attorneys, including an exceptional senior associate who is expected to become partner in 2027.
You will not disappear into a large class of associates.
The team is constantly in each other’s offices discussing matters, working through complex issues, and learning from one another. Both attorneys maintain a genuine open-door policy, and mentorship is built into the way the group operates.
The flexibility here is also real.
The new associate will initially spend time in the office becoming integrated with the group. After that, attorneys may work from home as frequently as needed with appropriate communication. Many still choose to come in because they genuinely enjoy the people and office environment.
This is a rare opportunity to build a sophisticated transactional tax practice with exceptional mentors, highly competitive earning potential, meaningful flexibility, and a clear path forward—all within a close-knit Dallas boutique.
