An ambitious AmLaw firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its nationally recognized Tax Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team with a reputation for thought leadership in tax law – particularly in the startup and venture capital space.

The Role

This associate will work on a wide range of complex and high-impact tax matters alongside respected Chambers ranked attorneys:

Responsibilities include:

• Advising on federal, state, and local tax matters for a wide range of clients, including startups, corporations, nonprofits, and government entities

• Structuring and providing guidance on mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and entity formations

• Counseling founders and investors on startup tax issues

• Supporting clients with estate, gift, and real property tax planning

• Navigating partnership and LLC tax matters

• Representing clients in tax audits, appeals, and litigation

• Advising on employment and employee benefits tax issues, nonprofit compliance, and cross-border tax planning

Required:

• At least 3+ years of tax focused experience in a law firm

• California Bar admission, or ability to waive in

• A Tax LL.M. is preferred.
