Job summary

Aprio, a leading CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Tax Associate in Phoenix, Arizona. You will utilize your tax accounting knowledge to assist clients with consulting and compliance engagements, and prepare various tax returns.

The ideal candidate has up to 2 years of public accounting experience, a degree in Accounting, and exceptional writing and analytical skills. Aprio offers a supportive environment with numerous growth opportunities.

• Exceptional writing skills are necessary.
• Willingness to travel on a very limited basis.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong technical tax accounting knowledge on client engagements.
• Prepare tax returns including Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1040.
• Participate in tax planning and consultation process for clients.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong technical tax accounting knowledge on consulting and compliance client engagements
• Prepare tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120s, 1040)
• Participate in the tax planning and consultation process for clients
• Participate in professional development activities, including training sessions and networking events, and work closely with Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of public accounting experience
• Previous experience preparing tax returns (preferred)
• Degree in Accounting or related field is strongly preferred
• Exceptional writing skills
• Strong accounting, analytical, technical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities
• Willingness to travel on a very limited basis
