Tax Associate

Steptoe LLP seeks an associate to join its Tax and Private Client practice in the firm’s New York office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Tax experience. In this role, candidates will work closely with global businesses and high-net-worth individuals across all industries on their most important and complex international tax matters. This includes counseling clients on sophisticated tax planning and advising on transactions.

We are looking for self-starters ready to assume immediate responsibility as an integral part of high performing, collaborative firmwide teams with our lawyers in various offices and remotely, and able to multitask and work with sometimes multiple overlapping projects and deadlines. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. Steptoe offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that offers training and mentorship. The expected salary for this position is $260,000 - $365,000, depending on experience.

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution is required. Admission to the New York Bar, active and in good standing, is also required.
