Job summary

Just Legal Search is partnering with a mid-size New York law firm to grow its Trusts & Estates practice. The attorney will handle domestic and international T&E tax matters, with exposure to administration and planning for HNWI/UHNWI clients. Ideal candidate has a J.D.

from an ABA-accredited school, NY Bar admission, 3+ years in T&E tax, and preferably an LLM in Tax. This hybrid role offers strong mentorship and professional growth.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Admitted to the New York bar.
• 3+ years experience in Trusts & Estates tax matters (domestic and international).
• Experience with international clients and cross-border tax planning.
• Knowledge of trusts, corporate entities, offshore arrangements, and investment holdings.

Responsibilities

• Advise on T&E tax matters, including administration and planning for domestic and international clients.
• Represent HNWI/UHNWI clients within a growing private client practice.
• Collaborate with multinational clients on cross-border tax issues and planning.

Job description

Just Legal Search are working with a with mid-size law firm seeking to expand their Trusts & Estates practice in NY. The firm is seeking an attorney with a minimum of three years experience across T&E tax matters, administration and planning both internationally and domestically.

Ideal experience:

• Must have a J.D. from an ABA accredited school
• Preferably an LLM in Tax
• Admitted to the New York bar
• 3+ years experience within the T&E practice of a law firm or a international tax practice at a Big4 accountancy firm.
• Experience across T&E tax and compliance, administration and planning
• Experience working with international clients on tax matters involving international planning issues, as well as a strong understanding of tax principles involving trusts, corporate entities, offshore arrangements, and investment holdings.
