The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with teammates and internal partners in a fast-paced environment.Primary Responsibilities:Support Partner and tax team on client matters, including:Prepare financial exhibits and analysis – such as net worth statements, cash flow statements, estate tax forecasts, balance sheets, flow charts, asset allocations, and portfolio analysisPrepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, which could include individual (with many K-1’s from MLP’s and alternative investments), LLC’s, Business Entities, and Gift TaxCoordinate client meetings including preparation of meeting materials; notifying and distributing agenda and implementing post-meeting action itemsDetermine service requirements and manage daily client activities applying problem-solving strategiesAnswer client questions and respond to client inquiries, providing superior service and ensure successful resolution of any client needAssist planning and investment team members and practice leaders with income tax research, technical advice and support on tax related mattersPrepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, which could include Individual, Business, Estate and Gift Tax returnsAssist in the preparation of 1099s and other year-end related benefits calculationsPrepare and review quarterly tax projectionsSupport tax team with coordination of document needsAnswer client questions and respond to client inquiries, providing superior service and ensure successful resolution of any client needOther tasks as neededRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required. (Finance or Accounting majors preferred)1-3 years of work experience in financial industry, tax and/or related fieldStrong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills.Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and clientsPreferred Qualifications:CPA or EA candidate preferredProficiency in CCH Axcess tax preparation software strongly preferredSkills & Competencies:Demonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment.Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures.Demonstrate the Cerity Partners culture.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Why Cerity Partners:Our people drive our success by working together to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
