We are seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our team. This role will focus on the preparation of tax returns for professional services clients, as well as high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and related entities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in tax compliance, strong organizational and analytical skills, and a desire to continue developing technical tax knowledge. This individual will work closely with Senior Associates, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors to deliver high‑quality client service while gaining exposure to increasingly complex tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns, including:
    • 1040 (Individual)
    • 1041 (Trusts & Estates)
    • 1065 and 1120‑S related to partnerships and S corporations
    • 709 (Gift Tax)
    • Related entities such as management companies, holding companies, and investment partnerships
  • Assist with tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and other engagement deliverables.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support engagement teams as needed.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Perform basic tax research and assist with documenting research conclusions.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.
  • MST a plus.
  • Active CPA license, EA certification, or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting preferred.
  • Experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, trust, gift tax, and investment partnership returns preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA).
  • Knowledge of CCH Axcess preferred.
  • Exposure to multi‑entity and multi‑state taxation issues preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships.
