Job summary

CLA Salinas, CA location is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to gain hands-on experience in tax returns and audit engagements. You will support multiple client engagements, participate in training, and interact with clients and CLA teams to deliver quality work within deadlines.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in accounting or finance, aiming to sit for the CPA exam, and possess strong MS Office skills with a willingness to travel to client sites.

• Eligibility to sit for CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members regularly.

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Perform s audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Working towards the achievement of a bachelor's degree - Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

The compensation range for this position in California is: $29.00 - $35.00.
