Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP in Illinois seeks Tax and Audit Interns to support tax returns and client engagements across multiple offices. You will gain hands-on experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems while contributing to team efforts on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and professional growth, with opportunities to engage in research and projects and to communicate with clients and CLA colleagues. A CPA-eligibility path is encouraged.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Working towards the achievement of a bachelor’s degree – Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
• Achieving credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. The compensation range for this position in Illinois is: $25.00 - $35.00.
