Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Analyst Senior with a strong focus on IRS Form 990 preparation and review. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about nonprofit tax compliance and eager to lead complex filings with precision and confidence.

This is a fully remote position. We are able to consider candidates from all states Except CA, NJ, NY, and IL

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed work papers and supporting documentation for IRS Form 990 and Form 990-T filings.
  • Conduct community benefit calculations to ensure compliance with tax-exempt regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax provisions related to exempt organizations.
  • Manage and execute annual extension payments and quarterly estimated tax payments for the exempt side of the tax department.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely filings and compliance with IRS requirements.
Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar, required. Graduate Degree in Business, Accounting or Similar preferred.
  • Three years Corporate or Public Tax Compliance, required.
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing IRS Form 990 filings.
  • CPA license (or eligible), is a plus but not required.
  • Tax experience in the healthcare industry or experience working in a CPA Firm highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate in Microsoft Excel functionality.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and professional writing skills.
  • Ability to apply logical and critical thinking in analyzing transactions, addressing requests and participating in special projects.
  • Ability to concurrently organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Availability for seasonal and variable work; hours can vary and may include evenings and weekends (at times) in addition to regular schedule.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Experience with corporate ERP systems (e.g., Infor, Oracle, Workday).
