Job summary

Liberty Puerto Rico is seeking a Tax Analyst to ensure compliance with local, federal and international tax laws. You will support PR, USVI and US authorities, resolve discrepancies, and drive automation in the tax process while aligning with corporate policies.

The role requires 3–6 years in tax accounting/compliance, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and strong collaboration, ethics and communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish and English is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxes, Business Administration or Legal.
  • 3-6 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance or tax law.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • High ethics and confidentiality with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tax compliance requirements for PR, USVI and US tax authorities.
  • Investigate and resolve tax discrepancies, variances, and billing issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and automation in compliance.
  • Review and implement new products, services, fees, promotions, and billing changes from an indirect tax perspective.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the Company.
  • Coordinate with Tax Manager and Tax Director on tax-related correspondence.
  • Resolve tax debts, discrepancies, or inquiries with government agencies as they arise.
  • Collaborate on internal compliance initiatives and promote education.
  • Contribute to development of corporate policies and programs.
  • Maintain Customer First Philosophy and Company policies and safety standards.
