Job summary

Liberty Puerto Rico, a Liberty Latin America subsidiary, is seeking a Tax Analyst to ensure compliance with local, federal, and international tax laws. You will work closely with Finance and Billing to resolve discrepancies and support tax reporting across Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and US operations.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in accounting or related field, 3–6 years in tax accounting or law, and are fluent in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxes, Business Administration or Legal.
  • 3–6 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance or tax law.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Strong collaboration, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tax compliance requirements for PR, USVI, and US tax authorities.
  • Investigate and resolve tax discrepancies with internal teams.
  • Develop process improvements and automation for the compliance process.
  • Review and implement new products, services, fees, promotions, and billing changes from an indirect tax perspective.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the company.
  • Manage and respond to tax-related correspondence with the Tax Manager and Tax Director and with government agencies as needed.
  • Collaborate on internal compliance initiatives and educate employees on policies.
  • Contribute to development of corporate policies, procedures and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy and the company's Code of Conduct.
