Nelnet, Inc. is offering an internship in its tax department near campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will support CPAs and accountants with various tax projects while gaining practical experience in corporate tax and accounting.

Minimum qualifications include pursuing an Accounting, Finance, or Law degree with CPA hour goals and prior tax internship experience is preferred. Strong Excel/Word skills and the ability to multitask are valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance or Law with CPA hours goal.
• Ability to work on tax internship tasks preferred.
• Willingness to learn and perform tax/accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist on a variety of projects within corporate tax and accounting.
• Support state incentive tax credit filings.
• Prepare income tax and other tax filings.
• Assist with tax correspondence from all jurisdictions.
• Help with business and tax research projects.
