Job summary

Greystar's Corporate Accounting & Tax Internship provides hands-on experience across External Reporting & Technical Accounting and Tax. You'll work alongside both teams on real projects while gaining exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, tax compliance, and investor reporting.

You'll join a 10-week program with real projects, teams across many areas, and a capstone project to present your work. The compensation for this position is $26.75/hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly financial reporting and financial statement disclosures.
• Support accounting research, technical accounting projects, and reporting processes.
• Prepare tax workpapers and documentation supporting tax returns, audits, and REIT compliance.
• Assist with investor tax documentation, including Schedule K-1s and related communications.
• Maintain and reconcile accounting and tax tracking information.
• Partner with accounting, tax, and business teams on projects throughout the summer.

Additional Compensation

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

• Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
• Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
