GreenStone Farm Credit Services is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our client-focused team in Michigan. You will perform tax projections, prepare and review tax returns, and ensure accuracy in payroll tax filings and related compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax planning & preparation is required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is preferred.
• Must pass the Farm Credit Income Tax Certification Exam after beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform tax projections and prepare/review tax returns.
• Process payroll tax payments and prepare payroll tax forms.
• Review and provide quality control for payroll & bookkeeping work performed by staff.
• Actively market tax & accounting services to current and prospective customers.
• Assist in training and guidance for tax & accounting staff.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service daily.
