Extuent Technologies, Inc. is seeking a US Tax Accountant to support income tax provision, compliance, and related corporate accounting activities.
The role emphasizes tax compliance, provision, and collaboration with the Finance team to ensure regulatory adherence and strong internal controls. Responsibilities include managing the income tax provision process, 280E documentation, ASC 740 close, and coordination of tax filings.
As a US Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of income and operational tax functions within the Finance team. This role focuses on tax compliance, provision, and supporting corporate accounting activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Support the income tax provision process, including current and deferred tax calculations and preparation of supporting workpapers
Assist in implementing company tax strategies, including Section 280E compliance and documentation
Participate in tax planning initiatives, including transfer pricing studies
Prepare and manage tax compliance filings, including sales & use tax, personal property tax, and other regulatory filings
Support quarterly and annual audit processes, including documentation aligned with ASC 740
Assist in M&A-related tax activities as required
Coordinate income tax and operational tax filings and ensure timely compliance
Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and regulatory filings
Perform period-end close activities, including tax-related entries
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries arising from reconciliations
Investigate variances and support internal stakeholders with financial and tax-related queries
Maintain standard operating procedures, including month-end and month-beginning checklists
Ensure effective internal controls and documentation standards are maintained
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
3+ years of experience in tax/accounting
Strong understanding of tax compliance and accounting principles
Exposure to tax provision (current & deferred) is preferred
Familiarity with US GAAP (ASC 740) is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams
High attention to detail and accuracy
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CA or CPA preferred (not mandatory)
