Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting or an equivalent combination of education is required.
  • A CPA certification or a master's degree in accounting or a related field is desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a variety of individuals and units.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet pressing due dates.
  • Excellent analytical and independent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 'best practices', including policies and tool kits in managing resulting tax risks.

This office provides tax consulting services and compliance support to the University of Michigan (U-M) and its affiliates. U-M includes Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn campuses as well as Michigan Medicine. Affiliates include the University Musical Society, Alumni Association, Michigan Health Corporation and U-M Health and their subsidiaries, e.g., University of Michigan Health-West, Sparrow Health System, among others.
