Job summary

Voith US Inc. is seeking a Tax Accountant in Appleton, WI to support the Americas tax function within a Germany-based organization. The role focuses on tax compliance, timely filings, and proper documentation aligned with internal controls and external audits.

The position also involves tax provision support, process improvements, audits, and cross-functional projects, working closely with accounting teams, business units, and external parties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 2–4 years or more related experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing annual property tax filings and sales/use tax.
• Assist in US federal, state, and local income tax returns with workpapers.
• Support income tax provision processes including data gathering and variance analysis.
• Manage tax basis of fixed assets and ensure depreciation accuracy for tax purposes.
• Research tax issues and monitor emerging tax legislation for compliance.
• Contribute to estimated tax payments and cash tax analysis.
• Participate in tax technology and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist Tax Director/Manager on special projects as needed.
• Foster a collaborative team culture through professionalism and communication.
