Ledgent Finance & Accounting, partnering with a public accounting firm, seeks an experienced Tax Accountant for a full-time role in the Marietta area. The position focuses on preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns while delivering client service in a collaborative, small-firm environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong tax expertise, enjoy close client interaction, and contribute across tax, accounting, and advisory functions in a long-term career with onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience preparing both individual and business tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven stability in employment and desire for long-term career growth.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with S-Corporation, Partnership, Trust, and Non-Profit tax returns.
• Experience with Drake Tax Software.
• Experience with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and business entities.
• Review financial information and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax filings.
• Assist clients with tax compliance matters and respond to tax-related inquiries.
• Conduct tax research and assist with resolving notices and tax issues.
• Collaborate with team members to manage deadlines and client deliverables.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Support various accounting and bookkeeping functions as needed.
