Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Team at Milliman Global Corporate Services (GCS) is seeking a Tax Accountant responsible for supporting all aspects of tax compliance, including preparing schedules and returns for U.S. federal and state income taxes. The role involves foreign tax return review, liaising with foreign tax advisors, and managing international information reports (5471, 8865, 8858, CbC reporting). The person will also coordinate with local India tax consultants or auditors and participate in special projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Tax Research:
    • Research US tax laws and regulations
    • Research foreign tax and VAT laws and regulations
  2. Tax Returns:
    • Prepare federal and state income and franchise tax returns
    • Prepare foreign reporting forms (5471, 8858, 8865, CbC reports)
    • Prepare foreign bank reporting forms for US compliance
    • Assist in reviewing foreign income tax returns with foreign tax advisors
    • Assist with year-end 1099 and 1042 processing
  3. Audit Assistance:
    • Support jurisdictional examinations (income tax, VAT, etc.)
  4. Communication:
    • Respond to notices from tax authorities
    • Support offices with tax-related requests
  5. Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tax accountant
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially intermediate Excel skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to collaborate and work independently
  6. Location: This is a remote role. The posting closes on June 30th, 2025.
  7. Compensation: Salary ranges vary by location, from $49,900 to $92,770, with specific ranges for certain states and cities.
