A local Chicagoland full service Tax & Accounting firm is seeking a strong Tax Accountant to join their team.

Compensation:

• $75,000-$90,000

Core Responsibilities:

• Majority individual tax returns.
• Bookkeeping and preparing financial statements for the purpose of filing client tax returns.
• The role requires a substantial knowledge of book tax law, accounting, and financial accounting to work with QuickBooks and client financials.
• Build and develop an individual clientele during the first year.
• Work directly with the firm's leadership to support existing client engagements and demonstrate the ability to independently manage client needs.
• Receive referrals from the firm and benefit from its consistent organic growth to support client acquisition and business development.
• Gradually develop a book of business rather than receiving an established client portfolio on day one.

Office Schedule:

• Tax Season Schedule (February 1 – April 15):
• No more then 50 hours per week.
• Free onsite parking provided.
• Off-Season Schedule:
• Three days per week in person.
• 20-30 hours a week outside of tax season.
• Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after one year.
