Job summary

Caliber Recruiting Group is assisting a top accounting, tax and advisory firm in Chicago, IL to hire a Tax Manager. This role supports clients with tax planning, research, and compliance across multiple entity types in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include advising on tax issues, prep and review of returns for C-Corps, S-Corps, partnerships and trusts; supervising junior staff; and networking with local business leaders. A 130k–160k salary with hybrid work options is offered.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting (BS/BA).
• Masters in Tax or Accounting preferred.
• CPA not required but appreciated.
• High level of tax skills and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work in a tight deadline environment.

Our team has been engaged by a top accounting, tax, and advisory firm to find a high quality Tax Manager in the Chicago, IL area.

This firm works with very significant local and regional business clients as well as high profile VIP personal clients for a variety of tax and business advisory needs.

Position Summary and Duties:

• Advise clients on multiple tax issues, planning, research and compliance
• Prep and review tax returns for multiple entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts
• Work with key clients for business advisory and tax decisions
• Supervise and train junior tax personnel
• Help when needed for local business events networking and fostering relationships

Role Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities
• Bachelor#39;s degree in accounting (or equivalent) (BS / BA Degree)
• Masters in Tax, or Accounting a nice bonus but not required
• Masters in tax or accounting preferred
• CPA is not required but highly appreciated
• High level of tax skills, organization, and analytical skills
• Work in a tight deadline environment

Pay and benefits:

• $130,000-$160,000 salary annually, commensurate with experience
