Job summary

Bookkeeper.com is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our fast-growing tax, accounting and consulting team. You will handle preparation of individual and corporate tax returns, analyze transactions, reconcile ledgers, and support monthly close processes with accuracy and a team-first attitude.

The position requires a 4-year degree in accounting or finance, CPA certification or candidacy, and at least 3 years of tax experience; QuickBooks proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification preferred or CPA candidate considered.
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience required.
• Experience in preparation of individual tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Individual and Corporate Income tax returns
• Analyze financial transactions to the proper general ledger accounts
• Reconcile all balance sheets and cash accounts
• Perform monthly financial closing processes including preparation of monthly financial statements
• Income and expense analysis
• Reconcile tax liability accounts/Prepare tax worksheets

Job Description

Bookkeeper.com is a progressive organization with a staff of highly trained individuals who have many years of experience in their fields. As a member of our team, you must have the ability to effectively work in our fast-paced environment while performing a broad spectrum of accounting and tax preparation duties. We currently have a position available for a full-time Tax Accountant within our company. This person must be experienced, self-motivated and have a “team attitude.” Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Prepare Individual and Corporate Income tax returns
• Analyze financial transactions to the proper general ledger accounts
• Reconcile all balance sheets and cash accounts
• Perform monthly financial closing processes including preparation of monthly financial statements
• Income and expense analysis
• Reconcile tax liability accounts/Prepare tax worksheets

Job Requirements

Requirements for the Tax Accountant are as follows:
