Tasting Room Manager (Downtown Paso Robles)

At JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, we offer guests an exceptional California food and wine experience with world-class service. Our culinary team emphasizes farm-to-table offerings, utilizing fresh local ingredients that reflect the seasons.

Join our Downtown Tasting Room team in Paso Robles! We seek a passionate, hospitality-driven leader to oversee all aspects of our Downtown Tasting Room. Reporting to the Director of Hospitality, the Tasting Room Manager (Downtown) will manage customer interactions, support sales and sign-ups for the Wine Society, and train new staff. This role also involves supporting events at the Tasting Room and collaborating with other leadership team members. It’s ideal for someone with a restaurant and wine background seeking regular hours without late nights.

This full-time role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Our Downtown Tasting Room is located in Paso Robles, CA. If you’re open to relocating to the Central Coast, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing leadership and direction to maintain smooth operations
2. Creating memorable guest experiences and upholding service standards
3. Delegating tasks and communicating policies to staff
4. Motivating, coaching, and developing team members; managing schedules, performance reviews, and safety
5. Partnering with departments like Marketing and Wine Society to promote the brand
6. Supporting and developing event programs
7. Collaborating with culinary teams to enhance food offerings
8. Monitoring goals and managing incentives
9. Updating Standard Operating Procedures
10. Reporting to senior management
11. Working with inventory and operations teams on menus
12. Resolving guest concerns tactfully
13. Facilitating communication across departments

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years in hospitality sales or restaurant management; wine industry experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year in supervisory or management roles
• Level I Sommelier certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
• Experience with P&L and labor planning
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to relate to diverse audiences and mentor staff
• Strong strategic and execution skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written

Pay Range: $75,000 - $80,000, based on experience and skills.
