Grove 45 @ Museion Wines in Calistoga, CA is seeking a Tasting Room and Hospitality Manager to lead a small, energetic team and mentor staff with heart while pursuing ambitious sales goals. You will foster strong guest relationships and ensure a memorable experience for every visitor.

The role covers staff scheduling, event support, reservations, POS handling, and inventory management, with a focus on outstanding customer service and team development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years in retail, service, restaurant or wine environment.
• Proficient with reservation management, POS and office software.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff schedule and assist in meeting sales goals.
• Provide exceptional customer experience to all guests.

Competitive pay – $70,000/annually plus generous commission based on meeting targeted sales goals

Management

• Staff schedule management
• Assisting in promoting and reaching sales goals
• Ensuring the highest level of customer experience is provided to all guests
• Maintaining prep kitchen equipment, processes, and procedures to comply with Napa County Health Department regulations
• Training Tasting Room Associates to perform all functions related to tastings, sales, production, shipping, prep kitchen protocols, and general support for the business
• Use of Reservation management and POS systems and cash handling for sales purposes
• Guest and customer communication, calls and emails
• Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory management
• Responsible for weekly and monthly sales reporting
• Participation in monthly team meetings

Hospitality

• Serving and hosting guests inside and outside at our beautiful tasting room
• Setting up and breaking down experiences, special events, and tours (includes tables, chairs, and other equipment)
• Ability to communicate, tell stories, and create compelling narratives about our delicious wines and olive oils
• Actively investigating and meeting customer needs
• Stocking merchandise and cleaning as necessary to maintain the tasting and retail shop aesthetic
• Support of club outreach, sign-ups, maintenance, and retention
• Off-site event support

Production

• Production and support for bottling olive oils & vinegars as required
• Packing and shipping of orders from Tasting Room, eCommerce, and corporate orders

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, the applicant must meet the minimum qualifications.

• EDUCATION: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years of related experience in a retail, service, restaurant, or food & wine environment
• EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE: Basic office equipment; phone, computer, cash register, and calculator
• COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with, or ability to learn, Reservation Management Software Tock, Commerce7 POS and eCommerce Platform, Microsoft Office Software, Google Suite Email

• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes, with an aptitude for sales
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Must be 21 years of age
• RBS and Food Handling certification will be required and provided by the employer
