Task Area Program Manager - Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a Task Area Program Manager for a DOS contract. The Task Area Program Manager leads and manages a specific task area (e.g., Endpoint Management, IT Operations, Engineering Services). Responsibilities include delivery of all requirements within the assigned area, alignment with Department business lines, and supervision of project managers and technical staff.

Experience

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing IT projects or programs, with at least 3 years in a federal environment.
• Experience supervising technical teams and managing budgets.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

• PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Clearance

• Active Top Secret security clearance as required by the contract.

• Environment: Client site
• Noise level: Low
• Schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday; may be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
• Travel: Less than 10%

Work Authorization / Security Clearance

U.S. Citizenship. Top Secret clearance required.

Wage Information

Target salary range: $150,000 - $210,000. Salary range is an estimate and will be determined based on individual education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract parameters.

Physical Demands

The role requires regular use of hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds; frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
