Job summary

Premier Warehousing Services, Inc. is seeking a Tarper in Washington, IN for the Shoals, Indiana location. The role covers and secures loaded flatbed trailers with tarps and straps, using 4” webbing and bungee cords, following DOT guidelines.

The job requires Indoors, outdoors, varying weather, warm temperatures, and occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Shifts run Sunday through Friday (three shifts); starting pay is $18.00/hr for 1st/2nd shifts, $18.50/hr for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift tarps and materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in all weather.
• Team-oriented yet self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Cover and secure loaded 45-53 ft flatbed trailers with tarps and securing the load and tarps with bungee cords and 4 inch straps per customer, company and DOT standards.
• Place a plastic sheet over the loaded materials before tarping to protect from weather and dirt.
• PPE is required at all times and provided; wear hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe footwear, reflective vest/shirt, and hearing protection where required.
• Work schedule includes Sunday through Friday with 3 shifts; overtime may be required in rare situations.
• Pay: 1st and 2nd shifts $18.00/hr; 3rd $18.50/hr; weekly pay on Fridays; benefits after 90 days; direct deposit.
