Job summary

Aero Industries Inc is seeking an on-site team member to prepare tarp materials for sewing in a manufacturing setting. The role involves cutting and shaping materials, maintaining tools, and following customer specifications with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 30 pounds (50 pounds with assistance). A reliable, regular schedule and the ability to read and follow instructions are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read a tape line and follow printed instructions.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds; with assistance, up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including twisting, pulling, lifting, carrying, and exerting pressure.
• Must be able to work a regular and predictable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Marks and cuts tarp material according to customer orders.
• Shapes material and places on sewers tables.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Carries tarps to sewers.
• Fill-out shipping papers for tarps.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Marks and cuts tarp material according to customer orders
• Shapes material and places on sewers tables
• Ensures that all needed tools (knife, tape measure, etc.) are in possession
• Follows safety rules and insures that all material is properly handled
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Carries tarps to sewers
• Fill‑out shipping papers for tarps

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills as evidenced by a high school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to lift object weighing up to 30 pounds
• With assistance, must be able to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds
• Must be able to read a tape line
• Must be able to read printed/written instructions
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and demonstrated instructions
• Must be able to perform physical tasks involving twisting, pulling, lifting, carrying, and exerting pressure
• Must be able to work a regular and predictable schedule
