Job summary

The EMD Serono Research and Development Institute in Billerica, MA, is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in Target Discovery Research. You will perform in vitro experiments including cell culture, western blotting, and PCR to support target identification and validation in cancer research projects.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in molecular biology, hands-on lab experience with mammalian cell lines, and familiarity with genome editing tools such as CRISPR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of hands-on lab experience and aseptic mammalian cell handling.
• Master's degree with 1+ year of wet-lab experience and mammalian cell handling.
• Experience with genome editing and molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in vitro experiments including cell culture, western blots, and PCR.
• Perform overexpression, knockdowns, and CRISPR-based editing for target validation.
• Support cancer-target discovery in a drug discovery setting.
