Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Regional Driver for routes starting in West Jefferson, OH, with shuttle points in Whitestown, IN and Demotte, IN. This position focuses on overnight regional deliveries to Chicago and suburbs using tri-temp and dual-temp refrigerated trailers, with preloads and some driver-observed unloads.

Expect 34-hour resets, 2–3 days at home weekly, and a dynamic schedule based on freight demand.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.
• Ability to operate refrigerated equipment and assist with liftgate and pallet-jack deliveries.
• Comfortable with overnight schedules, variable shifts, and regional routes.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to dedicated regional retail accounts.
• Preloaded tri-temp and dual-temp refrigerated trailers.
• Driver-observed unloading at most store deliveries.
• Liftgate and pallet-jack use for inner-city deliveries.
• Automatic transmission trucks with 28-foot and 53-foot trailers.

Pay Details & Schedule

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,860
• Average Annualized Pay: $96,758
• Top Weekly Pay: $2,550
• Top Annualized Pay: $132,036
• Mileage pay, stop pay, and detention pay
• Home 2–3 days per week
• 34-hour reset
• 24/7 operation with variable shifts and no set days off
• Primarily overnight operations, currently running between 9:00 PM and 12:00 PM
• Workdays and days off depend on freight demand
• $1,000 Holiday Start Bonus
