Taproom Assistant Manager: (full time)

Hourly rate : $25-$30 + tipped service shifts

At Eckhart we are creating not just a brewery, but a community space for novices and aficionados alike to share well-crafted beer and food served by a welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. Operating in an 8000-square-foot, 10-bbl brewery and taproom in Bushwick, Eckhart specializes in European-style lagers, with the goal of bringing the best of the lager tradition–from raw ingredients, to brewing process, to hospitality–to the heart of Brooklyn. Eckhart will embrace a “narrow-but-deep” approach to the craft brewing movement, featuring a small range of beers but focusing on perfection, tradition, and authenticity at all levels. Eckhart will have a fully built-out, 100-seat taproom with a full kitchen.

We Are Looking For An Experienced Assistant Manager Who

  • Brings positive energy with a team mentality, and leads by example.
  • Is knowledgeable about beer, breweries and their operations.
  • Has the ability to proficiently educate staff and explain our operation to curious guests.
  • Is organized, proactive, customer-focused with attention to detail.
  • Has led staff in a space that has a food and beverage program.
  • Has a NYC Food Handlers card required (or attained within 30 days) as interactions with the Health Department and cleanliness standards will be under your purview.
  • Ensures our space remains a safe and welcoming environment for all.
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving with situations that arise with sound judgement.

Necessary Qualifications Include An Understanding Of
