Job summary

Palmdale Oil Company is seeking a Nighttime Tankwagon Delivery Driver at the Tampa, FL location. This full-time role requires a Class B CDL with X endorsement, HazMat and Tanker, and a strong safety record to deliver fuels to multiple destinations while maintaining compliance and timely documentation.

You will inspect the vehicle daily, coordinate with dispatch, and provide exceptional customer service. The position includes overtime, rotating Saturdays, and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience

Responsibilities

• Operate a Tankwagon truck as directed to transport between the facility and destinations.
• Prepare, receive, and provide documentation for fuel deliveries and pickups.
• Make deliveries of fuel and diesel per customer needs and company policies.
• Maintain contact with home terminal/dispatch for instructions and changes in route or schedule.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre/post trip) and ensure safety features are functioning.

We are the only Florida-based company that can cater to the specific commercial fuel needs of the industrial, mining, construction, ranching, golf services, automotive, landscaping, marinas, marine vessels, fleet, agricultural and government sectors with reliable service. Palmdale Oil procures its fuel supply from various terminals on both coasts of the state of Florida.

Palmdale Oil has an immediate opening for a Nighttime CDL Class B Driver with X Endorsement (Haz-Mat & Tanker) at our Tampa location. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in driving and a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization. In addition to exceptional customer service skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

Job description for this position:

• Operates a Tankwagon truck as directed that transports between the facility and multiple destinations.
• Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up of fuels to ensure timely service.
• Makes deliveries of fuel and diesel in accordance with customer needs and company policies.
• Maintains telephone contact with home terminal/dispatch center to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle (pre-post trip), ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle at all times, including refueling as needed.

Job Requirements for this position:

The required skills for the Class B CDL Route Driver are:

• Class B CDL with "X" Endorsement (HazMat & Tanker)
• Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
• Must be licensed to operate the assigned vehicle
• Able to Lift 70 pounds
• Available for overtime as required to meet business needs within the appropriate State/Federal regulations, plus rotating Saturdays as needed
• Travel in the local area and surrounding regions
