Job summary

AccuTrans Inc. in New Orleans/Kenner, LA is seeking a Tankerman Trainee for our training program to become a USCG-licensed tankerman.

The role centers on loading and discharging liquid tank barges shoreside, with extensive safety, firefighting and emergency response training provided. As a trainee you will work toward becoming a licensed PIC for hazardous liquids, supported by a structured program and on-call scheduling.

Qualifications

• Valid/current Driver License required.
• Dependable transportation.
• Ability to pass a physical/drug screen and background check.
• Outdoor job experience or technical/mechanical experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work a 24 hour on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Trainee enrolled in training to become USCG-licensed tankerman.
• Assist with loading and discharging liquid tank barges shoreside.
• Receive extensive safety, firefighting and emergency response training.
• Operate as a licensed PIC in handling dangerous liquids after qualification.
