Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Tankerman Supervisor to oversee all CLA tankerman activities during transfer operations in New Jersey. You will train personnel, perform inspections, and lead hiring for new tankermen while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of tank barge experience, a valid USCG Tankerman PIC for dangerous liquids, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tank barge experience.
• Valid USCG MMC with Tankerman PIC dangerous liquids.
• Good working knowledge of state and federal regulatory compliance for petroleum transfer over water.
• Ability to train assigned workers.
• Strong leadership and oral/written communication skills.
• Maintain direction and composure under extreme conditions; meet goals.
• Pre-employment drug testing is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all CLA manned and unmanned Tankerman activities during transfer operations.
• Provide continuous on-the-job training as directed by Operations leadership.
• Conduct transfer inspections and audits of CLA barge operations and Tankermen.
• Perform initial tankerman skills reviews and yearly evaluations.
• Lead the hiring process for potential new tankermen.
• Directly supervise complex or sensitive transfer operations.
• Collaborate with CLA team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Submit weekly operational reports to the Barge Operations Supervisor.
• Cover extra barge work as directed by leadership.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of USEC Operations.
