Qualifications

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Class A CDL Tanker Driver to transport cement safely and efficiently from terminals to our concrete plants. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide high-quality construction materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from supply terminals to various concrete plant locations.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
3. Complete and maintain logs, delivery documentation, and other paperwork in accordance with regulations.
4. Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to routes and schedules.
5. Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
6. Adhere to safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
7. Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
8. Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
9. Stay updated on safety regulations and industry best practices.

Minimum Requirements

1. Valid Class A CDL, with Tanker Endorsement (helpful but not always required)
2. Current DOT Medical Card
3. At least 2 years of experience driving Class A tanker trucks
4. Clean driving record in the last 5 years
5. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
6. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks
7. Strong time management skills
8. Good communication skills
9. Willing to undergo pre-employment screenings
